Yes, I have to admit that some days could be very busy for me, that I might not be able to make time for a daily exercise routine or could not make time to prepare own meals.
I do not like being introduced to too many food/meal supplements nowadays, whether from advertisements or friends. I always wonder if it is that necessary to intake so much vitamins/supplements per day, that we are not able to obtain enough from our daily meals? Are we really that busy or we are just being fooled by the advertisers who are trying to make everyone look busy.
Well, I am not that busy and I am determined that I could take care of my own body, and make sure I intake what is enough for my body’s need, by getting the nutrients from most unprocessed food.
One of my prioritized goals is to eat more healthy. Below are 4 principles I create for myself:
(1) Eat more greens – I do not think anyone will disagree with this, I am not particularly a meaty person, but I did not like to eat veggies, not until I started my new diet I fell in love with various greens
(2) Eat variety of foods – Though I am fine with boring same food each day, sometimes I still crave for strong taste/various textures, I particularly like to eat many different fruits/nuts which always make my meal tastes good
(3) Eat less processed foods – I am easily tempted person to snacks. So I make sure I do not buy them home + do not get near them (when I do groceries, I simply do not go to those departments, it saves my time too)
(4) Appreciate every meal I take – I know this is the one most important principle I hold on for long. I usually do not waste food, and the more meals I make for my own, the more I understand how to appreciate a meal, especially a healthy meal. It keeps me going on and on, every meal ought to be healthy meal
Let’s eat healthier from now on (do it now)
