It was easier than I expected when I started it.
Though I do not make my every meal, I usually make my own breakfast and dinner.
I am a minimalist, I do not feel bored with same and simple food everyday, and I totally appreciate what I could have in every meal (be it a simple or small meal).
Here are what works for me:
(1) Make a simple and easy meal – I usually spend not more than 15 minutes of time to prepare my dinner because I know what I need to do is rinse the greens and fruits, and cut them into pieces, add some source (I usually add only EVCO) and nuts. I also boil egg and potato sometimes to add in my diet and all can be done at the same time (once you are used to what you do daily)
(2) Prepare your food in advance – I always prepare my breakfast in the previous night, it gives me no excuse to skip it and at the same time I could make sure I will have a healthy one. Overnight oatmeal is what I always make, it is delicious and nutritious at the same time, I love matcha, I always add a spoon of matcha powder in my oatmeal, it tastes so good
(3) Try to eat similar food each day – I know if there is one reason I will stop doing this, it will be due to my laziness. I am someone who hates to think of what to eat, what to make. But if I know my every dinner will be salad with same dressing and nuts, I have one less thing to think about, and it makes my groceries work easy. Well, I sometimes still make a bigger meal, when inspiration comes to me. But most of the time, it is simple meal for me
I continue making my own meal (as much as possible) from June 2016 and it will continue. The benefits of eating own meal are too much to mention, start eating healthy
Let’s try it now, with me, and Mary!
