I love Matcha latte, and I love Yoga. These 2 are probably the things I am connecting to almost every day after water and air.
I am always aware that Matcha helps to calm my mind, helping me to stay more focused (I wrote about it here); and Yoga does the same to me (3 Changes to my Body after attending 100 yoga classes).
It is amazing to read from one article today that Matcha actually complement Yoga practice:
- The amino acid (L-theanine) is helping to relieve stress, so it relaxes our mind and promotes the production of alpha-wave in our brain. This is what we would want to achieve with yoga and meditation
- Dislike coffee , Matcha not only contains caffeine but also theanine which gives a balance of alertness and also calmness/relaxation (I would like to describe it as a balance of Yin and Yang, and again, it is what Yogi wishes to achieve from practicing Yoga)
- Matcha has such high natural antioxidant content + Practicing Yoga increases the natural antioxidant in our body (shown from study here) = Perfect match 🙂
