This is my second time in this year to donate my stuff to charity.
In my first time donating, I only thought of I need to do decluttering, and why not I donate them instead of throwing them away, because most of my things especially clothes were still in good condition.
But from the donation I made, I got more than what I expected. After I donated, I felt very fulfilled, that how blessed I am to be able to give and to provide my things to other people who need them much more than I do.
I believe any chance of giving is another opportunity for me to feel happy and to learn how blessed with what I have and who I am now.
In Singapore, it is very convenient to make donation, the charity organisations will arrange a collection of donations from residents’ door.
Unfortunately when things get too convenient, people do not cherish it that much. I do not wish to take this convenience for granted, I am just thankful that I do not need to bring my donations to the charity center by my own.
This time, charity organisation, Childafrica comes at the right time, it is at the end of March, when I need to do decluttering again.
I feel very blessed that although I did not do much to help the poverty situation currently happening to our world, I am still able to give, to donate, to play a small part to contribute.
Every little thing is another little opportunity to let you feel blessed, they are capable to change your day.
Give it a try, decluttering with more than one cause, donate them to people who needs them more than you, that may bring another meaning for minimalism.
