November must be a good month to get married, I attended 2 wedding dinners of my good friends. It simply was filled with happiness and joy, especially I got to meet friends I have not been meeting for years. I always thought attending wedding dinner is like a gathering for old friends and be relieved to know the old friends never change a bit.
I clocked 40 hours of yoga practice in Nov, the longest hour/month so far since I started yoga practice. Signing up the membership in Trust Yoga really pushes me to practice more often, though I missed out a lot of self-practice, which I think is very important for me.
During one of the inversion classes, I fell hard on the mat, hurting my ankle badly. I still feel the pain now when I practice yoga. It was totally avoidable if I was more mindful and serious during my practice. I have to learn this lesson so I could avoid any injury to my own body again.
I was sad about my injured ankle, but I have to ‘accept what is done is done’ and just to learn from mistake (from the recent old book i read: Rule#3 from ‘Rules of Life – Richard Templar’)
Since I increased my practice time, I have not been having much time to prepare my own meals, and have been eating out most of the time.
I was trying very hard to spend longer time on my practice daily but do not compromise on my promise to cook own meal as often as possible (one of my goals for myself).
So I was upset and keep thinking how I could find time to achieve both, but I realized I just could not get both at same time. I tried but it is too tiring to prepare food after my practice, at late evening.
Instead of being upset, I knew I just need to accept the fact and try to find the best way to eat healthy as much as possible.
I will cook and eat light on weekend and for weekdays I buy a lot of fruits and nuts to store in the fridge in office and consume as much around tea time – to provide as much vitamin and good fat to my body
At morning, I still make my matcha latte, it is my energy source of my morning. At same time, I added a routine to consume a spoon of EVCO (Extra Virgin Coconut Oil) before I leave the house for work.
I started to bring my own small water bottle to work, before leaving house, I put in 2 spoons of Chia seed. This will make sure I get enough fiber, fat and protein.
From end November, a new roommate came in to share room with Benny and I. It was a good chance for Ben and I to clean up the room a bit, and it is good news that we can save some money from rental. The best part is our roommate is a kind and friendly person.
Then, this is probably the news that made me feel happiest. My family members are rather apart, and have not been talking to each other much due to some arguments between. There are many years of Lunar New Year we were staying apart and did not meet each other, my sister tried to get each other together and suggested we get along for a family dinner in coming Lunar New Year. I was so surprised that my sister managed to pull everyone together to agree for this, which I thought was an impossible task. It makes me feel anticipated about the coming Lunar New Year, I am finally meeting not only my dad, after 10 years of silent celebration. I have to record that all this started by my sister listening to a clip of song I posted in IG:
