Attending a Tea Ceremony introduction class with my classmates was such a joy.
It did not only give me a chance to spend time with my classmates, and to enjoy 2 bowls of wonderful strong umami matcha, but it also brought back a lot of good memories I had when I was in Tea Ceremony Club back in Nagasaki University. I remember how kind my teacher was and the members were invited to attend a tea ceremony in a huge traditional temple, where we were served with Japanese sweet (okashi) with great Matcha.
I guess my interest on Matcha started from then, which was 10 years ago.
When I got back and looked back at the pictures I took, I realized it had never been only the skill of the tea maker, or the taste of the matcha or the sweet, it has to be the smile from the tea maker that matters the most.
